Beautiful World Stamps

( Final renewal day of the data is Jan 20, 2004 )

Shortly after I started QRP operation, I contacted a YL station at a club station in BY (China).

Shortly after I sent my QSL cards directly, the QSL cards arrived from this BY Club Station. The return envelope had a beautiful commemorative stamp on it. When I saw it, I was impressed by how beautiful it was. I was impressed by the female operator's thoughtfulness.

This actually gave me a hint, and since then I have made it a point to use as beautiful commemorative stamps as possible on the envelopes I send to DX stations. Just as I noticed, the receiving stations also seemed to notice, and the envelopes I received now had beautiful commemorative stamps from the recipient's country on them.

The cost of commemorative stamps and ordinary, unglamorous domestic stamps (sorry, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications) is the same, so using commemorative stamps does not increase the burden. For that reason, when a commemorative stamp that I like is released, I buy them all in bulk and stick them on envelopes addressed to DX stations before sending them. If you are sending directly, please try this. If the other station notices, I'm sure they will return it to me with a beautiful commemorative stamp on it.

We have received beautiful commemorative stamps from amateur radio stations around the world, and as a kind gift, we have decided to introduce them in this section.

So, what did you think of the stamps? Actually, after I posted this column, I received emails from several people. Most of the emails praised the rarity and beauty of foreign stamps.

Some people commented that the products from XX country were the best. Please note that this is only a listing of what was on the envelope that was returned to me. What is shown here is not everything from each country. Rather, it would be best to think of it as just a small part.

Currently, the file size for this section alone exceeds 1MB. It was originally larger, but because it was so large, I scanned it and then compressed it into a file. As a result, the color is quite different from the original. The color of a real stamp is much more vivid and beautiful.
